Start with the middle infield

Kurtz solves a different problem. When you're down a run, you want someone who can change the score with one swing. Verlander and Latz also keep the staff from feeling like an afterthought.

There's no need to chase every marketplace card the moment it drops. Build a core from these rewards, then spend only where your team has a real hole.
